MIMO Connect is a business constructed of experienced yacht connectivity professionals, with skill sets from shore side support, engineering and onboard IT experience.
MIMO Connect has been created to deliver a rounded suite of services including robust and high speed connectivity, IT support, VSAT installations, VSAT maintenance, 4G hardware & support, virtual ETO subscriptions and entertainment packages.
MIMO Connect, have years of real life shoreside and onboard connectivity experience. This experience is priceless to ensure all possible needs of the client have been thought out from onboard crew usage and system maintenance through to guest user experience.

I recently had to negotiate a custom VSAT contract for a client who owns a fleet of exploration yachts. Most of the providers I contacted could not even produce a quote in time for the planned cutover. We had a very tight schedule and MIMO Connect got everything done in time. I don't often see this high level of service, Matt was willing to chat to me after hours and over a weekend to work on the finer details of the contract and also actively followed the cutover process till everything was up and running. Price wise the client got more bandwidth for their budget, so they were very happy. MIMO fully understand the demands of Superyacht owners and ETO/ITO’s onboard and I can highly recommend MIMO Connect.

I first started working with Superyachts eight years ago within the medical sector. After some time I transitioned into the world of Superyacht communications and never looked back. Having managed a large portfolio of VVIP clients and all of their communication needs, I always wanted to ensure each individual client felt like they were the only client. This philosophy is one that we are proud to operate every day at MIMO Connect. It is my personal mission to ensure all of our clients receive nothing less than the epitome of customer service and feel valued at all times. Outside of the exciting Mimo Connect machine, I love to ski, horse ride and water ski. In addition I’m also a qualified ballet teacher so if you’re ever in need of perfecting your pirouette whilst looking for great 4G and VSAT, I can certainly help you out.
I began my yachting career in 2008 after working in London for 7 years as an IT Consultant. I quickly decided that I had found my niche in the yachting industry as an IT consultant within a large yacht management company who regularly required my AVIT knowledge on the yachts they managed. This resulted in me becoming an ETO / AVIT Officer. In addition to this role, my wife Nicci and I started Robertson ETO’s with the aim of providing exceptional ETO’s and AVIT Engineers to the ever-growing super yacht industry. I have had the opportunity over the years to manage AVIT installations on various large new builds and refits, providing technical recommendations and support directly to Owners and Owners representatives. I believe my knowledge in both the AVIT and ETO department, as well as recruitment allows me to have a rounded and professional approach to supporting Captains, Engineers and ETO's.
I have been working in the Superyacht sector in excess of 12 years, from advising clients as a registered Lloyds Insurance Broker and through to leading a large yacht VSAT business. My philosophy has always been transparency and driving a ‘customer first’ mentality. This mind set has been a key part to establishing some very long term loyal clients, due to the level of service and honesty they receive. This is the main driver and philosophy behind MIMO Connect. As a result this has enabled us to grow and expand with our client base, to continue driving consistency and the best personal service a VVIP client should expect from their suppliers. In addition to my obsession with customer service, my other loves are golf, motorsport and skiing. My sporting background of playing an International level in golf, has contributed to my attitude to never give up and never accept second best.

I’ve been working in customer service related roles my entire career, mainly because I have a passion for ensuring our clients receive the best customer care possible. Going above and beyond my duties is part of my nature and I see any issue or concern raised by our clients as an opportunity to do just that. Changing the goal posts or making the impossible happen is where I thrive the most. I love to challenge myself regularly, in my career and personal life. Sometime that means I’ll go on an adventure and sleep under a tree in -17 degrees Finland or enrolling to study a new degree to further my career. This is one of the reasons I am so thrilled and excited to be working with MIMO Connect, their philosophy of driving a ‘customer first’ mentality is one close to my heart and every challenge is seen as an opportunity to grow and improve as an organisation.
I grew up in Durban, South Africa and have had a love for the water from an early age. I started sailing competitively from the age of 7 and represented South Africa at several international regattas. After leaving school I followed a career into personal training for 10 years at a VIP gym in West London. I returned to the water in 2008 working in the super yacht industry, but then took on the most challenging role of my career, raising three very energetic children with my husband. I like to bring the enthusiasm and drive that I have acquired through various roles (including becoming a Mum!), to every area of Mimo Connect to ensure our customers always come first and have the best possible experience from enquiry through to delivery and beyond.
